(re-posted here because linux-uvc[10]'s list is a sourceforge list,
sourceforge recently bumped a lot of users off their lists by trying to
coerce them to agree to a "privacy" policy and the list archives appear
inactive[11])
Hi,
I have a Logitech B990 webcam, it is a UVC webcam:
ID 046d:0828 Logitech, Inc. HD Webcam B990
When I start guvcview, the webcam's blue lights flash for 5 - 7 seconds
and then a greenish picture appears.
If I go to the video tab in guvcview and change it from MJPG to YUYV or
H264 then the picture looks normal.
My WebRTC browser often tries to initialize the webcam but gives a
JavaScript error before it becomes ready. It doesn't appear to work
with cheese either.
I've attached the following details:
lsusb.log (from lsusb -v -d 046d:0828)
dmesg.out (uvcvideo traces)
guvcview.out (stdout/stderr from guvcview)
Is this a defect with the webcam or is it simply not supported? I
notice it is not in the list[1]. This was originally discussed on the
Jitsi Users list[2]
Regards,
Daniel
