[linux-uvc-devel] Sonix H264 USB Camera: how to change bitrate ?

HI,
I'm trying to use a Sonix H264 USB Camera through uvcvideo driver (it's
indeed a ELP camera id 05a3:9422 using a Sonix encoder chip). It's working
quite well with the current uvc driver (I can get the H264 stream, set
frame rate, resolution, etc). Now, I want to change the bitrate of the
camera. Apparently the camera doesn't support the H264 UVC protocol (I
can't find any UVC extension unit that seems compatible with it), unlike
the logitech H264 cameras... lsusb reports 2 extensions unit, namely XU1
and XU2, that are apparently related to the control of the encoder (and I2C
control of the sensor). Does anyone know how to control the H264 encoder
behaviour of Sonix H264 USB chips ? Does anyone have a description of these
UVC extension units ?
Thanks in advance for your help ! An answer would be a great contribution
to the popular use of these cheap cameras (30$ for H264 native camera. A
dream with Raspberry Pi) !
Best regards,
B. Steux
