Hello,

I’m new in Linux and in UVC streaming functionalities. Currently, I’m
working in a project which I have to take some photos (maybe 4 per day) and
do a processing in my microprocessor. For this reason, I’ve bought a Terra
board(http://www.acmesystems.it/terra), which contains
AriaG25(http://www.acmesystems.it/aria) and I’m testing the project’s
requests with it.

Today, I’ve tested a webcam with the MPJEG STREAMER as the following
instructions says: http://www.acmesystems.it/video_streaming and it works
almost perfectly (there are some errors unknown for me) but I can see
through Google Chrome very nice.

And now, I have to do one step more. I don’t know if it here is the way to I
have to find the solution, but I try. Sorry if it isn’t the way…

I need to through USB port, which I have connected the WEBCAM, get the image
data with a C code (I think maybe exists a library which do it, but I don’t
know where and how I have to find it) and store it in SD card’s terra board.
Do anybody know how I have to do it?

Then, I will insert the SD card in my PC and check that the image is
correct.

Thanks

Hi,
you probably want to read this first:
http://linuxtv.org/downloads/v4l-dvb-apis/

It has a couple of examples (without and with libv4l):
