Hi,
Our camera encoded data is H.264 AVC format, but the Linux UVC gadget(webcam.c) driver supports only YUV & MJPG formats. I am looking for the UVC 1.5 compliant H.264 AVC gadget driver and sample application to test the same. Please provide the source/patch or links if any.

Thanks,
Rajeshwar.

Hi,
guvcview fully supports uvc h264, even if no h264 format descriptor is
present, guvcview will still check for the h264 extension control guid so
that it can mux the h264 stream in the MJPG container (e.g logitech c930e).

you need the stable version 1.7.3 or the git head (version 2.0.0)

Paulo

I think here is some confusion. Initial mail was about uvc gadget driver
for client mode, not uvcvideo host driver.

But, i have no idea if there was some work done to support h264 in
gadget driver.

Hi,
Thanks for the details. I understand that the UVC gadget driver doesn't supports H.264 AVC(UVC 1.5).

As you said that the H.264 data can be encapsulated in MPEG-2 TS (UVC 1.1) format, which kernel UVC gadget driver implements the same ?

Thanks,
Bandi.
