The http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/ seems out of date, many of the top
selling products on
http://www.amazon.com/s/?rh=n%3A172282%2Cn%3A541966%2Cn%3A172511 are not
listed.

Also, the link to the QuickCam Team Site (eg.
http://www.quickcamteam.net/documentation/faq/logitech-webcam-linux-usb-incompatibilities)
are all broken, as the domain expired.

So, who is responsible for maintaining the http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/
website?

IMO, there is no need to keep this list up to date. It support UVC
Class. It is same like creating list of all usb mass storage devices
known to work with linux.

If that is so, why have the list at all?
no idea.. historical reason? this list was started in the time where
working webcam was an exception.
At the begging it was helpful. Now it is confusing because many people
ask to support some non uvc webcam..
This driver should do only one thing, provide uvc support. Not webcam,
list or what ever support.

In case you wish to create list of working or not working devices,
wikidevi.com or even wikipedia is best place for it.
