Hi all

I have a new slide scanner. It is identified as
0ac8:3370 Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. Traveler TV 6500 SF Dia-scanner

When I use it in guvcviewer or cheese I see only blue channel (black/blue/white images).

Please ask for any info you may need. I'm willing to test alpha drivers or whatever may be needed.

My system is Debian GNU/Linux testing/unstable x64

Thanks

Sorry for the delay, I get caught in another issue.

Please find attached the dmesg.log and the lsusb.log as requested.

Hi, I sent an e-mail with attached shots on Windows and Linux, but it has not entered the list (awaiting mod approval).
On Windows it works ok with provided software. With standard webcam software it behaves similarly to Linux. Maybe some kind of calibration?
Please, take a look at device manager on windows. Which driver using
your slide reader?

Hi, and Sorry for the delay (my main OS is Linux, as you could guess).

On Windows 8 it seems to be using

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ksthunk.sys
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\usbvideo.sys

Thanks

On Windows 8 it seems to be using
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\ksthunk.sys
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\usbvideo.sys
So, it works with standard windows driver and image difference depends
on userspace software. It means, we don't need to fix driver. But it
will need some adjasments in software. Did you tried to change some
setting of guvcview?

Nothing I do in guvcview window seem to help. The image is still blueish
(unless I'm modifying saturation, when it turns grayish or hue, where
the image is still kinda monochrome but in different colours).

Thanks

Hi all, again

Do you know which software could I use to calibrate properly this slide
scanner in Linux?

As I said before, guvcview does not help

Thanks

Noel
